B.Sc. Chemistry

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:

            The UG Department was started in 2004 – 2005 with well-equipped laboratory and experienced faculties. Chemistry is basic in the studies of medicine, biology and technology. The Department provides opportunity for the students to accumulate a thorough fundamental knowledge of all fields of Chemistry. Lecture courses in the general areas of inorganic, organic and physical chemistry are conducted regularly in addition to provides hands-on experience to the students at all levels.

To facilitate academic excellence, acquisition of scientific skills, employability and community service

OBJECTIVES

ü  To impart knowledge in fundamental aspects of all branches of Chemistry.

ü  To acquire basic knowledge in specialized areas like Polymer Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Dye Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry etc.

ü  To create manpower in Chemical industries and help their growth.

ü  To prepare candidates for a career in Chemical industries.
